Sigi uses a range of forming techniques, using grains of glass frit and carefully considered designs; she anticipates how the glass will fuse and flow in the kiln. Judging the degree of melt is key; success depends on petrifying the glass at just the right moment. In different bodies of work Sigi exploits colour and no colour with crystalline textures. Sigi is inspired by nature.
