My metalwork is predominantly sand cast, a technique I do entirely by hand. No two castings are ever the same. I choose to celebrate each pieces unique texture by highlighting the tide line formed by the two halves of the mould. Works can feel nostalgic, like miniature landscapes, drawing me back to my rural roots. I also incorporate cast-in-place gems, a more modern addition to an ancient craft.
